I would like to talk about how to choose a moral, upright and successful leader. The world has very many chosen leaders, leading different people at different places. Moreover, leaders are made but not borned. It's impossible for people to live without having leaders.
A leader is a chosen or selected person elected by people to rule over a certain place, making people's life better. Leadership isn't acquired easily since it depends on people's decision and willingness to select a common person.
Leadership can be acquired by any gender and age . Both young and old can lead. Example; a small child can be appointed as the class prefect to lead the other children. Though not all leaders lead people well.
A successful leader should be moral, upright and intelligent. This kind of person would lead people peacefully, contributing unity among the people. In addition immoral leaders enhances conflict and other evil doings. We should condemn immoral leaders and even hand over their leadership to other people.
1) He/she should be respectful, obedient and honest.
A good leader should have respect and obey all other people. He/she should be a respected person. Secondly, he/she must be honest, trustful and believable. We should avoid choosing leaders who bare false, offer bribes and encourage corruption.
2) He/she should be upright and moral.
Moral and upright leaders can be observed and determined through their behaviours, actions and sayings. A person who uses drugs and uses abusive words is likely to be immoral.
3) He/ she should be wise.
The acts and speeches of a successful leader are to be wise and thoughtful. This kind of leader should help and participate creating decisions and ideas that would develop people.
4) He/she should be hardworking.
A hardworking leader would be a good example to his people. He/she would motivate and encourage the lazy people until they all start working hard. Moreover, a hardworking leader would develop his/her people.
5) He/she should be God fearing.
A good leader should be God fearing. He/she should praise and pray to God for protection. He/she should build, support and develop all worshipping places.
6) He/she should have courage and be brave.
A successful leader should be courageous, ready to face and solve any challenge and difficulties that can harm his/her people. He/she should be brave, ready to protect and die for is people.
In our village we have been choosing leaders that would rule us in different sectors. Usually we always elect leaders through voting in a ballot box. We always interview our leaders and even seal a covenant with them. We never allow an immoral leader, through all this we have been choosing successful leaders.
We should choose our leaders wisely. While performing elections, choose your leaders secretly without been convinced by your friends. Be careful, choose what's right for a future better and developing world
